Remember The Time

I'm not hating, just appreciating natural black MJ from his late teens and at 20 because these pics are hard to find. (Out of sight, out of mind, right?) I'm doing this for the record because at one time Mike was as black and beautiful as any of us. This is for the kids so they'll know that this is the actual man that the famous little boy became: a brother from Gary, Indiana.

Mike's own web site's retrospective conveniently skips over these years, like nothing importnat happened in '76, '77, and '78, but his music in these years was quite soulful (straight outta Philadelphia). His site, instead, picks things back up in 1979 after he got the money and the nerve to begin his cosmetic identity saga which, ironically, has gained him more fame now than his music.

So again, I'm not hating, I'm not judging. I'm simply a keeping a record so we can 'remember the time'.
